I’m sure all of our country music fans remember Tim Rushlow. He was the lead singer for the group Little Texas, back in the 1990s. I was a fan of that group, and I believe I’m even more of a fan of Tim’s these days. We told you a while ago, that Tim is up to something totally different. You may remember an article we wrote about Tim in Oct. 2014, about Tim’s new Christmas album, “Tim Rushlow & His Big Band Classic Christmas”. The title is just what the music is, it is definitely ‘big band’ sound. And, it’s great. Took me about five notes into the first song I before I ordered my copy of that album. (Article here).
Tim recently sold out two consecutive nights at The Franklin Theatre where he performed songs from The American Songbook and his Classic Christmas CD. He is also a nationally featured program on Public Television’s pledge drive series. He wrote a song for his Classic Christmas record called “A Soldier’s Gift” which pays homage to our nation’s military members. Legendary jazz saxophonist Branford Marsalis is a guest instrumentalist on the recording.
Have a look at this great video for the song, “A Soldier’s Gift”.
This song is one of 14 on the Classic Christmas album. Great music for the holiday season. If you don’t have a copy yet, they are available on iTunes. You can’t go wrong with this album. doesn’t matter if you’re a die-hard country music fan like me, or what your usually listening routine is. This is one of the best Christmas albums in my huge collection.
